Retro

I finished my Retro quilt from Simply Retro by Camille Roskelley. I am sewing along with the "Simply Retro Quilt Along" (button on the button bar ---- >) and I really pushed myself to squeeze this project in with all my other projects.

The finished crib size "Retro" quilt.
I made it crib size in red, white and blue because that was what I had on hand. I quilted it in variegated thread which you can see in some of the photos below. I was frugal with this project and used only supplies that I already had. I even used three pieces of scrap batting.

Since it's Retro I took some photos with my retro cameras that belonged to my Grandma.
I started this quilt on Wednesday morning and I finished it at 12:45 a.m. last night. (This morning I guess.) Here is where I was at Wednesday morning:
Picking fabrics.
Combining two of my greatest loves; photography and quilting.
Here you can see some of the thread I used.
An ant wanted to check out my snazzy "King Tut" thread.
I used King Tut thread by "Superior Threads" in variegated primary colours. Thank you for visiting my blog and checking out my Friday finish. It was a race but I made it. :) I am linking up with "Simply Retro Quilt Along" and "TGIFF." (Thank Goodness It's Finished Friday!) Click on the TGIFF button in my button bar to see more quilters' finished projects or to link yours up. I am also linking up with the "Crafty Girl Linky Party". There is a button for that one on the button bar too.
